Beaches

There is absolutely nothing like a Seattle summer. And summer days spent at the beach are the best.

Alki Beach in West Seattle is probably one of the most popular. There are fire pits you can sit at if you get there early enough. Bring along Spikeball too or another fun sand game.

Discovery Park is a unique beach that will make you feel like you are not in Seattle anymore. There are cliffs, rocky beaches, and a lighthouse. This is a great place to go on a walk and watch the sunset.

Golden Gardens Park has great views of mountains and looks at Puget Sound. The sandy beach is great for volleyball and bon fires.

Groveland is hidden on the middle of Mercer Island. There is a sandy beach, volleyball court, and dock at this beach. It might be very crowded on a summer day. However, the sun will be there for a long time making it perfect for an after dinner volleyball session.
